Dorifto! Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Dorifto! is made by Dorifto LLC, based in the United States ("we"). This policy covers the game Dorifto!, its demo and our website, doriftogame.com.

The short version

The game Dorifto! has no analytics, no ads and no tracking. The game sends us data only when you choose to send a problem report. Our website uses Squarespace's standard analytics cookies, as described below.

Our website

Squarespace hosts doriftogame.com. It uses cookies needed to run the site and standard analytics cookies to help us understand website traffic. Website visitor data includes pages viewed, browser and device information, the referring page and IP address. Squarespace also processes visitor data to operate and secure its services. See Squarespace's Privacy Policy.

Our cookie banner asks you to opt in before Squarespace places non-essential cookies, including analytics cookies. You can choose Accept all, Decline all or Manage cookies. Declining keeps non-essential cookies off. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie Preferences. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Our home page embeds a YouTube trailer using privacy-enhanced mode at youtube-nocookie.com. The player connects to Google to load and play the video, which can involve your IP address, browser and device information. Privacy-enhanced mode prevents views of the embedded video from being used to personalize your YouTube experience or advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Problem reports

When you choose Report a problem, or Send report after a crash, the game uploads a zip file to our report server. The zip contains:

  • your note, if you write one
  • the game's logs from that session and the one next to it, with your Windows user name removed from file paths
  • your computer's hardware and software: CPU, GPU and graphics driver, memory size, screen size and refresh rate, and operating system
  • if the game crashed, a crash dump: a snapshot of the game's memory at the moment of the crash. We remove your Windows user name from the file paths in it, but it can still hold other things the game had in memory at that moment
  • the game version and a random session ID

It does not contain your personal files.

To prevent abuse, the upload proves it comes from a real Steam account. Depending on what you choose:

  • if you turn on Include my Steam info, we store your SteamID so we can follow up with you
  • if you don't, we store only a scrambled (salted hash) form of it, which we use to limit each account to 10 reports a day

We use your IP address only to rate-limit uploads, and we never store it.

Why we collect this: to find and fix bugs. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the game working. Including your SteamID is based on your consent, and you can ask us to remove it.

Where it goes: reports are stored privately with Cloudflare, our report hosting provider, and are deleted automatically after 90 days. Copies we download to investigate bugs follow the same 90-day retention period, measured from when we received the report, not when we downloaded it. When a report arrives, we get a notification that contains only its code, game version and size. We do not sell or share reports with anyone else.

Steam features

Leaderboards, achievements, lobbies and online play run on Steam. Valve's Privacy Policy covers that data. LAN play connects players directly; we receive none of that data.

Data stored on your computer

Settings, saves, replays and logs stay on your computer, in the game's user folder, unless you send a report.

Your rights

You can ask us to see or delete a report. Email support@doriftogame.com with the report code the game showed you. If you are in the EU or UK, subject to the conditions in applicable law, your rights include access, rectification (correcting inaccurate data), erasure (deletion), restriction of processing, objection to processing, data portability (receiving data in a reusable format), withdrawal of consent and complaint to a data protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew it. Reports are processed in the United States.

Children

Dorifto! is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child sent us a report, contact us and we will delete it.

Do Not Track

The game does no tracking. Our Squarespace-hosted website does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals; use your browser's cookie controls to block or delete cookies.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date above and the published copy of this policy.
